I guess the multi-holed and shaped bead craze is not ending anytime soon. It’s hard to keep up with the new shapes and sizes. And the colors are so much fun too. I try to buy a few basic colors of each new one to play with, or at least have some on hand if I want to try a pattern that uses them.

When I used 4 pound Fireline, I beaded with it normally half way through. I brought my needle back down the thread half way once I got to the crystals to double up the thread, then cut one of the threads when I got up to the earring component.

This necklace pattern is super easy to make. You will not believe how fast you can get this necklace finished. It is also beautiful and delicate. You can make it this afternoon and wear it to a party tonight.
I love little 3D beaded projects. It’s fun to make something that is not jewelry occasionally. Inanimate objects are fun, but I really like animals. When you are done making them, you can play with them!

Some of my little projects. I have been doing bead weaving for the past 3 years on and off. I find it hard to find patterns that do not include using 3mm bicones as my hands are not very good and I find it hard to use them, so I always try to find patterns using 4mm and bigger. I would love to find patterns of more interesting and more recent characters.
I’ve noticed that a lot of the beaders I know love making pendants. They can be simple or extravagant, small or large, easy or difficult. I think the attraction is that it is faster to make, and can often be used for earrings or bracelet components.

I am not expert in beading technique, so I always look for simple techniques for beading.. Few days back I saw snowflake beading pattern on you tube.. I slightly modified it (I should say simplified for myself) and made this pendant.
Yesterday, my local bead store had 50% off all seed beads (except the new Mini-SuperDuos). Boy, was it a mad house. We had to fight our way to the seed bead wall and grab what you wanted fast. It was a lot of fun, too, seeing who spent the most.
