Two and Four Hole Bead Patterns (8/3/2015)

2015 August 3

Kheops and Crescents and Chexx, Oh My!! How do we find the time to choose the new beads we want to work with and find patterns to use them? In some cases, I’ve simply had to stop buying new kinds of beads until I actually need them. How about you?

Although the bracelet design isn’t as intricate as the earrings, I think that they will go together well enough. It’s not something that I’d wear with an evening gown (as if I’d ever wear such a thing), but it will be a fun set to wear for every day.

Free Rulla Bead Bangle Pattern

We got a bunch of Rullas a while back, and a recent conversation got me thinking about what to do with them. After futzing around for a bit, I realized they could nestle together, kind of like Lincoln Logs, to make a cool pattern. I made a few bangles and wanted to share the instructions with you. These bracelets take only about 45 minutes to make, so whip up several and stack ’em up on your wrist!

This pretty necklace is made using 4mm Fire-polished crystals, 11° seed beads and the new 2 Hole Chexx Squarelets. It curves beautifully around the neck, but would also make a pretty bracelet and you can make it in half the time.

Pipflowers and Chexxagons!

These little eight-petalled flowers are great fun to make and they work up really quickly so this dainty bracelet would make a nice gift – just in time for the holiday season! I chose these lovely bright vacuum coated Pip beads for my bracelet because I love the way they seem to flash and shine, alternating between hot pink and turquoise, but the Pips come in a huge range of different colours so you can easily change the look of the finished piece.

We are so excited by these new two hole Czech glass pyramid beads!  Pyramid studs have been all the rage in fashion for the last few seasons, and now we have them for you in bead form!  Choose from 12 varieties in two sizes (8mm and 12mm), with both shiny and matte metallics. In case you can’t think of a thing to do with them, we came up with this great idea!  We made a leather double wrap, and it turned out GREAT!

Triangles Trim Bracelet Pattern with Kheops Beads

I can hardly keep track of all the new beads coming into the market in the past months… One of the most recent bead produced is the Tango bead – a triangle Czech glass bead that has two holes in uneven lengths. The unusual placement of the holes of the bead makes it challenging to design with, but at the same time it opens up more possibilities for unusual designs…
