We are so excited by these new two hole Czech glass pyramid beads!  Pyramid studs have been all the rage in fashion for the last few seasons, and now we have them for you in bead form!  Choose from 12 varieties in two sizes (8mm and 12mm), with both shiny and matte metallics.  In case you can’t think of a thing to do with them, we came up with this great idea!  We made a leather double wrap, and it turned out GREAT!

Having had a lot of other commitments to get done I had not had much time for just sitting and bead playing. So when I made the time I picked the Crescents to play with. Also me being me, I had to have some bright colours also.c

2-hole Beads | Stringing the Past

http://stringingthepast.wordpress.com/ Thu, 23 Oct 2014 08:21:50 -0700

Since I’ve started beading all of a week ago, I’ve been paying a lot of attention to Beading Daily’s blog. This week, they posted a piece on 2-hole beads that caught my attention. I certainly won’t disagree with the article. I don’t know enough about modern beading and while I haven’t used 2-hole beads yet, I imagine they would be incredibly useful. What I do find interesting is that they seem to have basically revolutionized modern beading, and that 2-hole beads were fairly rare roughly 15 years ago.

I took a little break to work on these really fun-to-stitch bracelets using the two-hole bead studs. These bracelets are designed by Dana Rudolph, and she stitched the cream/gold and the bronze/gold versions. I, of course, got to stitch the other two. Watch for them in the June issue of Bead&Button. If you want to try your hand at these studs now, check out Maggie Roschyk’s “Bead stud bracelet” from the October 2013 issue.
