The harlequin pendant diamond shape and bead pattern was inspired by the back of the robe in the print The Balcony. I had to see if I could translate it into beads. And while I know there’s still a big difference between Erte’s version and my own – remember it is meant to be inspiration, not imitation, so it will work for now.

For my cat, I stitched together several layers of bead backing, then used a combination of size 15 & size 11 glass seed beads in several different shades of blue & gray. I don’t make cats very often, so it was quite a challenge!

After making bracelets, I was having some beads left.. and some leftover wire.. So from all these leftover materials i made a heart shaped pendant. For making it we need crystal beads (preferably red/reddish), seed beads (I was having greenish beads left, so used them), wire (approx. 2 feet).
