Free SuperDuos and Twins Bead Patterns (1/30/2015)
Today I’ve got patterns in groups of three. The first three are from Linda at Linda’s Crafty Inspirations. Linda tests patterns and comes up with tweaks. The second three are from the Beaded Jewelry Diva and they are 3 different SuperDuo Peyote Rings. Last are three YouTube video patterns – all in different languages. Have fun!

I made three more samples last night and I love all three of them. I don’t have any bicones that match the lilac rondelles so I used some smaller rondelles in the same color instead. I don’t like the shape quite as well as bicones but I think they look fine. The free earring pattern is from Elfenatelier and you can download it HERE.

Yesterday I got to try out a bunch of new SuperDuo colors. I chose some of my favorite patterns to make the samples. All of the SuperDuos are from Aria Design Studio on Etsy. Before I show you the samples, I want to mention that quite often Aria’s bead photos are much darker than the beads look in reality. SuperDuo Flower Chain Bracelet

I don’t remember where I got the inspiration for the flower motifs but the little links in between them are based on the ones in Kelly Dale’s “Fun Floral Necklace”. Check out Kelly’s video on YouTube: Fun Floral Necklace Tutorial. Kelly also has lots of patterns and beading kits for sale in her Off the Beaded Path Etsy shop.

In this video, I teach you about making a ring with just a plain flat peyote. If you’re not familiar with SuperDuo beads, they are relatively recent, from the Czech Republic, and they have two holes (not just one). This first video teaches you the most basic set of steps for making a ring. It’s easy and pretty fast, too. If you’re not familiar with using SuperDuo (or have never used them with peyote beading), then this is the perfect intro for you.

You’ve probably seen my first SuperDuo peyote ring tutorial… and so now here is taking that original ring and doing some fun embellishment! Why Embellish the Ring? A couple of reasons. The first is because it’s pretty! The second is because if you made your initial ring a little too big, this embellishment will tighten up your ring a bit.

Here’s the third free video tutorial for making peyote rings using SuperDuo beads. This time it’s a little different style from the other two, and it has a more traditional / classic look to it. Whereas previously in video 1 and video 2 you had been constructing the ring vertically, this time you will do it horizontally. It’s a little trickier to start, but it’s still pretty easy — not to mention a whole lot of fun!
