Has anyone had enough of the two-hole beads? I haven’t. Here are some great patterns, some free – some pay, but all are gorgeous.

Herringbone Bracelet With Pyramid Studs And Superduo Beads Mon, 04 Aug 2014 02:43:00 GMT

Today I want to show you the new tutorial – a herringbone bracelet with superduo beads and pyramid studs. The pattern is very easy and simple. I hope you enjoy it. The pyramid studs that I used have 2 holes and measure 10mm. I bought them at Michaels store. I searched online stores where you can also buy them and I found two Etsy stores…

Beading With TwoHole Beads Thu, 06 Mar 2014 00:28:00 GMT

I’ve been checking out Fusion Beads’ 30-Day Bead Challenge, which I mentioned in my blog from last week. This Friday’s challenge is to “Double up and design with fun and funky two-hole beads.” All these new two-hole beads are great fun! Here are several two-hole bead projects from our archives if you need help choosing something to make.

Bead-weaving Designs for the 21st Century Fri, 18 Jul 2014 06:00:00 GMT

Part of the challenge of being able to design a simple, beautiful piece of bead-weaving is knowing when you need to step back and just let the beads do their thing. Aurelio Castano’s herringbone stitch bracelets using two-hole bricks and seed beads are simple and sublime: it’s the thread path that gets your attention, and the clasp is a sleek, modern finish to the whole look.

Double Pinwheel Beaded Beads Mon, 31 Mar 2014 23:49:00 GMT

This is my first pattern that uses these new CzechMates two-hole triangle beads, but it’s my second attempt at using them in a beading design. For my first attempt, I made a pair of earrings based on my Water Lily Windows pattern, using little flowers with triangle beads instead of the rizo beads.

It seems that I cannot keep away! I love the versatility of them, I also love the shapes that they make, all-stars and flowers. Happily the weather was glorious when I started this and so I sat out in the garden. My idea of happiness. You make a series of these and then join them together to make a bracelet… when I finish it properly.

Sparkling Water Lily Sun, 13 Jul 2014 18:20:00 GMT

My latest project – Sparkling Water Lily –  is made with Starman’s Czechmate two-hole triangle beads, Swarovski crystal bicone beads and Japanese seed beads.  It is a dimensional beaded component, that can be used as a pendant, as a connector beaded bead or for an elegant ring. Another design with these beautiful triangle beads is in the works and I hope to be able to finish it as soon as I get more of these beautiful triangles in other colors.
