Free Beaded Beads Tutorials (8/22/2014)
Today, we are going to learn about beaded beads. What could be better than a big bead made of little beads? Kind of like beads squared. Beaded beads make great pendants, earrings, part of a clasp or link them together into a bracelet. Try some of these this weekend.

I had the urge to make some beaded beads. I found a very good tutorial on You Tube. They are actually quite easy once you get the hang of it. I was doing great until I decided to try to add drops. For some reason the drops confused me enough I had to go re-watch the video. The spheres with drops ended up being my favorites and I think I’m going to make more.

Today I’m sharing with you an extract from my Stargazer tutorial, showing how to make the beaded bead clasp which I hope you will find useful for other projects! These chunky beaded beads work brilliantly as a clasp for your beadwoven bracelets and necklaces or you can use them as they are for stringing with other beads. They’re quick and easy to make and are self supporting so there’s no need for a wooden core.

Although they can be worn alone, I designed them to be companion beads to go with large round beaded beads. My favorite look is when you add handmade lampwork glass beads, and string them simply on a piece of silk cord… Beading nuts and washers is fast and easy. You only need a few pinches of each bead color, making this a good choice to use up your leftover seed beads from other projects.

I’ve been making beaded triangles… Lots of triangles. What’s more, these triangles are made out of other triangles. Two-hole triangle beads, to be exact, plus Rizos, O beads, and Japanese seed beads. Joined together, they make a nice, delicate bracelet. But they can also make many kinds of beaded beads. Here’s one made out of 20 triangles.

Many of you have asked me how to make these beads so I’ve decided to make a free tutorial to show you how! These have a finished size of 8mm and while they are a little fiddly, they’re great fun to do. Just a few tips before we start…if this is your first time at making beaded beads you might find it easier to use a different colour for each row, as I have done, so that you can easily see which beads are on which row…

My beaded beads have come a long way, from my very first experiments with simple peyote stitch tubes, all the way to creating a beaded bead-within-a-beaded bead while I was learning how to create a beaded dodecahedron using right-angle weave. There are so many ways to embellish and enhance this basic beaded structure to make fabulous beaded beads using all kinds of your favorite beading supplies and glass beads.
With this tutorial you going to learn how to make your own Pandora style beads…
