Me and My Beads. I LOVE beading. The colors and shapes just mesmerize me. I find it very relaxing and enjoyable. And it’s very thrilling when I come up with my very own pattern too. So back to the bracelet.  It is made using black 1.5mm cubes and #15 silver lined clear seed beads.  A Briolette is in the middle of each end of the bracelet along with Swarovski bicone beads.

The project I chose is the Spiral Sync designed by Dustin Wedekind, a variation of the traditional spiral stitch, supported by beading wire to accommodate the larger beads interspersed with the spirals.  The book was published in 2007 and the beads in the project don’t look any larger than those I’ve seen used in similar beadweaving patterns.

Spiral tubular peyote stitch. There’s a new free pattern of mine just up on About.com: I call it Amethyst Ice. It uses basic tubular peyote stitch, and has undulations The largest beads in the spiral are magatamas, which give the beading a denser look that if you use regular round seed beads.
