Free Beaded Bracelet Patterns: Beading Q And A (12/21/2011)
How to make beaded rope crochet bracelets?
Is there anywhere online that has detailed instructions (with pictures) on how to make these bracelets/ropes (like the ones on the link below)? I’ve looked everywhere and it’s either not what I want to make or you have to pay for the kit. Help!
Just pay for the kit, then you’ll know and won’t have to pay again. Or try looking at Bead Patterns:
They have a lot of bead crochet and may have a free pattern. Otherwise, their patterns are very inexpensive.
I’m looking for beading patterns, but having a tough time?
I’m new to beading, but very interested in a few particular styles. I really like the look of the beaded cuff bracelets. I recently bought one and fell in love with it and decided that it would be fun to make a bunch.
The one I bought is just stretchy with no clasp or any kind of closures (I like this style). Here are some bracelets that I like and would love to be able to create:
I do not recommend using stretchy material to make any bracelets. The reason for not using stretchy is it will break and stretch out of shape in time.
For these stitches it would be wise to use a beading needle ( size 11 or 12) and beading thread (Nymo size D)
Tension is very important when beading. You cannot achieve this when you use a stretchy material.
On Yahoo there are a lot of beading groups with very helpful beaders. On the web there are tons of information on all of these stitches.
What are some good patterns for beading?
I love doing bracelets but can’t think of a pattern to use! Any ideas?
Fire Mountain has a lot of free patterns with instructions in their Beading Instructions — http://www.firemountaingems.com/beading_howtos/default.asp
There are also many projects in their Design Gallery for your inspiration — no instructions.
