GENERAL INFORMATION and CONDITIONS

The BLUE PAGES are for Retail Stores only and are free to all, users and store owners alike. Retail stores may be brick-and-mortar, mobile, online, or any combination thereof.
The Store, City, State and Zip code fields are required (in order to fit the format of our store lists).
AT LEAST ONE of the following non-required fields MUST BE ENTERED:
- Store email address
- Phone number - (required for mobile stores)
- Mailing (street) address
The Address, Phone and Hours fields are highly recommended.
If you include a URL, it will be listed with an active link to your website. You will receive monthly reports on the click-through activity of your link. This service is free for the first three months.
If you enter a valid e-mail address in the Your Email field, we will contact you when the listing has been posted, even if there is no store email address. This email address will NOT be posted. It will also NOT be shared with nor sold to any third party for ANY REASON.
We recommend including specialty items in the Short Blurb field, such as delicas, semi-preciuous stones, etc. Our store index has a site search engine. PLEASE NOTE: There is a 25 word limit and user-generated HTML is not allowed.
If the store is outside of the United States, you must type a two-letter code for the country into the State field (to avoid an error message). Canadians should use their two-letter province code and Australians, their three-letter province code.
If you don't know the country's code, type "n/a" into the State field (so the form will process) and type the country's full name into the Country field.
If a zip code is not applicable in an international address, simply type "n/a" into the Zip Code field. Since it is a required field, you must type something there in order for the form to process without an error. Apologies for the inconvenience with some international addresses.
Addresses in the UK require a county (or shire) which can be entered in the Address (line 2) field or the Comments field as needed.
Qualification Requirements: A store must carry beading supplies and offer them retail to the public. Beading supplies need not be the main focus of their business. For example, variety (and other types of) stores which devote a section of their store to beading supplies (such as Ben Franklin Craft stores) are welcome.
Bead supply manufacturers and wholesalers must pay a premium to be listed in our worldwide Wholesale Bead Supplier Yellow Pages. We have returned to the "retail-only" model that was the original premise of the Blue Page lists.
Wholesalers which also sell at retail may submit their stores to the Blue Pages without subscribing for a Yellow Pages listing, but they may only promote the retail aspects of their business within the Blue Pages.
We still accept online-only retailers because even if a store is online-only, its geographical location may affect shipping costs. Therefore, all listings are organized by location as they have always been, regardless of type.
Additions are incorporated as they are received (usually within a few days). Please give it at least two weeks before inquiring by email.
While the Blue Pages listings will remain free to all, GTB now charges $36.00 per year for active links within Blue Page listings (with the first three months free). The fee includes:
- one active web link
  (with monthly reports on your link activity)
and / or
- one active email link
  (includes optional monthly GTB statistics reports)
and
- two MapQuest links (if appropriate)
  (includes a hand-tested link showing the exact store location whenever possible as well as a Driving Directions link where the store location is already entered at MapQuest - not included with free trial)

Active links at GTB were free for almost a decade (until late 2004). They undeniably send quite a few targeted visitors to bead businesses' websites. Customers are walking through their doors because of their listings at GTB. Most store owners already know this quite well.
You can think of your fee as a pledge to support this highly useful service. But where NPR sends you a coffee mug or T-shirt, we will send about 500 visitors to your website (just for starters) for your investment. Actual numbers will vary, but you will know exactly what they are via monthly reports. The average cost is less than 10 cents per click.
You also receive monthly link activity reports telling you exactly how many times the links to your website were clicked on as well as some interesting general site statistics.
The service will remain free to visitors and the listing itself remains free to store owners.
