DESCRIPTON

Chapters with step-by-step instructions for Basic Beading (starting and finishing, supply needs, etc.) and Fringework

A Glossary of beading terms

Printable pattern pages for most stitches

Seven separate beaded jewelry stitches:

Chevron Chain
Daisy Chain
Flower Stitch
Twill Stitch
Gourd Stitch
Brick Stitch
Lace Stitch
These jewelry stitches can be used separately or combined to create:
  • earrings
  • necklaces
  • bracelets
  • doilies
  • etc.

Designed to be used as a textbook in beaded jewelry classes, the book has been very popular for that purpose. Instructions are broken down into simple steps with clear graphics for each step. Children as young as ten have been able to do all seven stitches with only the book as a guide.

Seed and bugle beads are the most common beads used in the stitches outlined in the book so it is written using these types in the examples, but these stitches are NOT limited to seed and bugle beads. You can get some stunning effects by working these stitches using semi-precious stones.
